It's not like going blind (like everything goes dark) it's more like going blurry. when I take my glasses off, I can't read signs that are ten feet away. I can't read anything on tv, or recognize people's faces from far away (I am nearsighted). When my aunt takes her glasses off, she can't read books or papers, can't make out letters on the computer screen, and can't put her makeup on in the mirror. She can still see, but not clearly. Everything appears blurry or fuzzy.

My prescriptions pretty strong, but I'm not blind in the slightest. Things get a little fuzzy past a little distance, but I do okay without them. After an hour, I barely notice.

Hi Nina,
You may have heard the phrase "legally blind." What that means is it is illegal for people with a certain level of vision to drive without your glasses. We aren't anywhere near actually blind.

Things are extremely out of focus, like looking at a picture taken and the camera moved, very blurry.
If I don't remember exactly where I put down my glasses, I have a difficult time finding them, and my prescription isn't really that strong.

well.. they are not exactly blind, but they are as good as blind.
depending on how thick their lens are, all they see are fuzzy images with colors.
