You shouldn't be losing more than 20 pounds in this period. Aim for 2 pounds a week. It will be too hard to keep off/ maintain & you could get sick. It would be in your best interest if you are really planning on taking up the challenge is to have an exercise & diet regime made up for you. Do keep your head up & have a laugh I would also recommend : The Cinderella Pact by Sarah Strohmeyer, she also invites people who are trying to lose weight to sign up & have support.

No! Not healthily anyway! You should always aim to make a lifestyle change and a lifetime commitment to losing weight. If you set yourself unrealistic goals it'll never work. I have written a guideline of everything I tell my clients to do which actually works! (I am a personal trainer). Follow this and you will get down to a healthy weight. It may take a few months or it may take a year but start right now!!!!
You should aim to do 40-60minutes of weight training 4 times a week and add in a couple of walks/jogs in between. Get some dumbells (3-5kgs) and do 3 sets of 6-8 exercises x 15reps. For example:
15 x chest press (With weights)
15 x Lunges (With weights)
15 x Pushups
15 x Squats (With weights)
15 x Bicep Curls (With weights)
15 x Burpees
(Do all of the above 3 times)
Then do crunches, some oblique twists and transverse holds (plank ) for abs and core stability.
Aim to do weights for 40minutes 3-4 times a week. Make sure you give your muscles a rest in between. Go for runs on the days you dont do weights (Aim for atleast 30 minutes of running). It has been proven in many studies that the best way to lose fat is to weight train. Every pound of muscle you gain increases your metabolism which burns more calories. Weight training also has an after burn effect which means that more calories are burned throughout the day whereas doing only cardio will only burn fat during your workout time. So weight train weight train weight train!!!!! This is the best advice I can give to all women. You will not get bulky as you do not have enough testosterone in your body to build big muscles. You will just turn your body into a slim, lean, toned fat burning machine!!!
Also never ever give yourself a time limit. Make a commitment to do this the rest of your life. Too many people go on training/dieting benders for a couple of weeks then give up once they hit their goal. Doing everything I reccomended will give you awesome reults but there is no miracle quick fix to losing weight. Believe me I have tried everything! Losing weight quickly is unhealthy, unachieveable and never easily maintained. Although it would be nice to click our fingers and make the fat go away it'll never happen!
Drink looooaaaadddsss of water. Dont drink nothing. Water is your best friend when losing weight as it fills you up, reduces your appetite and keeps you hydrated.
For your food intake eat loads of vegetables, fruit, nuts, chicken, fish, brown rice, brown bread, lentils. Cut out all highly processed high carbohydrate sugary foods. Also try to avoid foods high in saturated fat. Try not to go over about 1500calories. Always go for low G.I!
I hope this helps anyone who is trying to lose weight. Believe me weights are a girls best friend :)

It really depends on how drastically you are willing to change your diet and habits. If you're taking proteins, exercising at least an hour a day it's easily attainable. However you do have to be aware of your limits because drastic changes in diets like the above posters have stated can be dangerous and make you ill. Best advice is water and excise, balance your meals and watch your daily calorie intake! For even more efficient ways of dieting seek your doctor for advice.

depends.. the fatter you are, the more you can loose in a limited time.. \
for example.. if you are 140 and want to be 110, you might have a problem loosing 30 by then.. but if you are 300 pounds, its easy to loose 30.. majority of it is water weight anyways.. the closer you are to your goal, the harder it is to loose fast.. but dont let that stop you from trying.. Dont starve yourself with fad diets..
Drink more water, cut out all soda pops (including carbonated water also).. Drink unsweetened juices and teas, cut back on red meat (do have lean cuts once or twice a week), eat more chicken and fish.. nothing fried.. try to eat grilled, boiled, broiled, poached, lightly sauted, or baked stuff.. if you need to cook in a little oil,, use canola or the healthiest.. olive oil...
eat the most percentage of your meals vegetables.. and eat a rainbow.. ie: as many of different colors of vegetables as you possible can manage to insure you are getting varied vitamins and minerals.. And dont eat just cooked stuff, eat raw vegetables salads etc... dont overdue the fruits, although they are healthy. .. for snacks, eat seeds and nuts. (not the fried salty nuts, try for raw almonds or walnuts, just a handful. eat raisens, dried apricots. carrot sticks, apple wedges.. homemade tortilla chips. (cut up a corn tortilla and bake it till crisp) etc.. and move, move, move.. if you cant do anything but walk. then walk.. but any movement is better than nothing

Of course it's possible, it just might not be healthy. You could stop eating and lose that much weight, which would be very unhealthy. You could also add aerobic exercise, weight training, and a moderate caloric reduction (increase your intake of veggies and fruits and other fiberous foods)--and see what happens. It all depends on (1) your weight (2) your metabolism and (3) your behavior.

I used to have serious over weight problem for years and I was the kind of people quite easily get sick & tired. Thank god, once I met a new friend in a family gathering and he told me a very good site that I later found so helpful. The site taught me great workouts and diet tips and showed me what I had been doing wrong to address my over weight problem... Here is the good thing and you might wanna to check out more. Good luck!
