The only thing I actually know about the man is that he was a painter from Austria. I would like to know if anyone knows of a web site or names of some books that may have information on him and pictures of some of his paintings. Websites would be helpful. Thank you.

Oskar Kokoschka (March 1, 1886-February 22, 1980) was an Austrian artist and poet of Czech origin, best known for his intense expressionistic portraits and landscapes.

Oskar Kokoschka was a famous Viennese printmaker and painter, 1886-1980), known in particular for his brightly colored, expressionist portraits, and also for his landscapes and cityscapes.

Oskar Kokoschka is the third in the great trio of Viennese artists with Gustav Klimt; Egon Schiele and the one whose reputation is currently hardest to assess.
