Getting a degree from ERAU is waaaay not worth the money. What happens if you get sick or something happens to you (like me, I had a traumatic brain injury and now I can't fly but I have a degree). ERAU wasn't that competitive, but you have to be pretty smart when you are there. Maybe you could join the military, that way you don't have to pay for it and maybe go to Warrent Officer school and fly for the military. Good luck!!!

You need Grade A cash money.

An ERAU degree is very expensive and leaves you very little to fall back on. At least at UND, you can get a degree other than aviation while you earn your ratings.

Your best bet is to get a degree from a state school in any subject that interests you such as engineering or marketing. That way you'll have something to do when you get furloughed.

Seriously...aviation degrees are not worth the money they cost. Airlines don't care what your major was or what accredited school it's from. They just want to see that you earned one.

I agree with the above. Go to college to get a degree in anything else but flying. Learn to fly seperately. I went to an aviation school and now have a degree that is basically useless if I wanted to go into another line of work. Of course, so far I am able to keep flying. Hopefully that will stay the case.
