I would love to believe that nothing is greater than my God, but I have to admit there are times when I think that other things would be. For instance, love and sex. I don't think any material things would be greater. I console myself ( and forgive myself) by knowing that God gave me these feelings, and He isn't all that disappointed that I give in to them.

There can be nothing greater to God, Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
If anything is greater than him, it is serving him for his pleasure. Krishna's service is more and more important. Loving him can only be done by understanding him and serving him.

For me:
Guru is greater than god.

Kabir rightly said:

Guru Gobind dou khade Kake lage pamv
Balihari Guru apno jin Gobind diyo batai.

Meaning:
If Guru and Govinda [the Supreme Consciousness] appear simultaneously, you have to pay your obeisance to Guru only, because the Guru made you realize Govinda

Edit:
A fact in support of this is the story of Kakbhusundi in the Uttar Kand of Shri Ramayana. Find the story here. http://www.urday.com/rcon1.html

"Greater than" is linear thinking, GOD is spherical. Greater than does not apply to infinity. Therefore the question is nonsensical and should not be answered.

God is supreme and he is the ultimate. He loves us all and devices ways (from unexpected sources) for our comfort and pleasure. Though Guru is there to show u the way to meet God but God is ultimate. He is Nirguna above all jealousy and malice which Guru may or may not be. When everyone forsakes u for whatever reason God comes to ur rescue. So for me and my experiences in life God is above everything. No body is equal to God let alone above God.

Nothing
Deuteronomy 10:17
For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes.
2 Samuel 7:22
"How great you are, O Sovereign LORD! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears.
Job 36:26
How great is God—beyond our understanding! The number of his years is past finding out.
