If you're referring to "green sticks" which are slanted and pointed at one end...those are used for stimulating the gums. It can help people with gingivitis, or periodontal problems. I believe this may be what you're thinking of? Not sure.

There are things called Stimudents. They are like falt toothpicks made of soft wood that you could use to clean between your teeth. Dentists give out samples or drug stores sell them.
