Not generally.
It comes form back in the school days where you had to tuck in your shirt, and nobody wants to do what they are told so they are ll left out.
However, if you're going for a job interview or to a formal function then it's the top of cool to tuck in your shirt.

honestly its going to depend on the shirt but heres the deal... if its a button up shirt and got tails its ment to be tucked if its straight its not . but resent fashion has it where its aight to leave tils out if u wear a sweater over it or if leaveing it un buttoned or mostly unbutton . polos only tuck if required by work otherwise leave them out t shirts out. btw if u really wanna p i it make sure shoes match shirt and if if possible nice jeans but preferbly slacks.

I don't think so. Besides, if I tuck my shirt in everyone will see that I don't wear my clothes on my hips, but on my waist, and apparently that's definitely not cool, lol. And u'd also see my fat stomach, thighs and butt if my shirt was tucked in, lol. So no, it's not cool to tuck in ur shirt.

Is it cool to look sloppy?
If you have to leave it out at home, no harm done. But if you go out in public it may be commonplace, just not "cool". Cool, is an appearance that always looks best and enough to be respectable no matter what kind of shirt it may be.
Tuck.

It is a formal style, it will keep you under the police profiling radar. It's an excellent way to say to everybody I'm a mainstream citizen, so don't approach me with insignificant trivia, I don't gang bang, twist, low-ride, I got to check my e-mail I'm 'bout the dream I haven't time to waste sir! Thank you very much.
