They are pretty common, I'll agree, but any responsible parent would not allow it.

Depends on YOUR teenage life. House parties are not a defining characteristic of teenage life. Do you want them to be a part of your teenage life, or not? Do your parents? If they and you want house parties to be a part of your 14 year old life, then most likely they will be. However if only one of you, whether you or your parents, but not both of you, want parties to be a part of your current life, then the chances that they will be are much less. It's that simple.

You wanna know what? I'll tell you what. There are soooooooooooooooooooo many ways to be in the world. Assuming that house parties are required for a normal teenage life is to be naive of so many other ways to have a teenage life that work equally well or even better.

Remember that every minute you spend doing one thing, you are not doing any other thing. What is it you really want to learn to spend your time doing? If it's partying, fine.

But if you're smarter than that, and you see OCCASIONALLY going to parties say as a way to learn how to socialize for purposes of business networking later in life, then you can wait until your parents see that you are responsible enough to do that. And so what if they are a couple years too late in seeing that you are reponsible enough? It wouldn't be too late at all.

At 14, no, never. Even in the college years house parties like that tended to get out of hand unless the house owners did a little policing of who could stay. I can't even imagine the trouble teens would get into.

Nope they are not. Non-invitational parties mean you are crashing it, which means no adult is around. Think about what would happens to your folks house if a bunch of strangers came over when they were gone and decided to party.

At 14 you are too young to being getting involved in anything without adult supervision.
