It depends on what company. When I was a dev engineer in the VPN division of Nokia, more than one (tattooed) person asked me when I was going to get my tattoo. Uninked at the time, I sheepishly had to admit I had none cuz I still wasn't sure what precisely I wanted.
That was a technical job, though, which is my venue. Sales - especially to the general public - may or may not be a problem, depending on where & what, both tattoo location & the job. No one can really answer this question without knowing more of these specifics. "A company" is just too generic to be able to say.

Nowadays tattoos really aren't that bad, but in a way still not extremly professional. During your interview *definantly* cover ALL tattoos. Once you start working there you can get a feel for how relaxed the workplace is when it comes to tattoos. But I would definantly say not to purposly expose the tattoo once you got the job, but if it peeks out.....then no biggie.
Where is your tattoo?? That matters too. If it is on your lower back (though they are cute) NO ONE wants to see that tattoo at work.

It totally depends on size and location. I would always cover it up, if possible when interviewing and working at a job. You should definitely strive to have it covered for any interview you may get. They will likely give you a policy, stating dress code, and you'll be able to gauge from that where baring a tatoo will get you into trouble. If it's one that is not easily covered, then you may experience some hesitancy in regards to getting hired. Bosses like professional looking employees, and tatoos usually do not look very professional.
Good luck!

It depends on the tattoo and the location. If you get full "sleeves" or a large snake tattoo up and around your neck, then you may find it's tough to get a job in an office. If you get something tasteful, and relatively discreet, you shouldn't have any problems. They are pretty common in most office environments.

Well it shouldnt be hard to find a job but you should now that people judge people no matter what and thats not right. Depends where you have it and how big it is but I think its not hard to find a job has long as you can hide it during your job if they tell you to hide it and its best to hide it when your going to a interview or turing in resume/applying.
Hope this Helps!!!
I WISH YOU THE BEST!!

I'm getting my entire left arm done, half way there, but I'm getting used to covering up now. I always wear long sleeves in the office. When I leave the office and it's warm, I'll talk off my sweater or jacket, but for the most part, your employer and co-workers don't want to look at your tattoos no matter how beautiful they are.

Depends on the tattoo, location, and what kind of job you're looking for. Generally stay away from hand, neck, face tats and you'll be fine.

Not all but most companies don't hire someone if they have a notice able tattoo but if you can hide it with a t-shirt and pants it's a little better

if you get it in a place that is easy to hide like your back or hip you will be fine.. if it is in a place that can be seen alot of places do not like that and it may affect your chance to get a job .. alot of places also do not like facial piercings and will tell you to take them out or use spacers while at work... when you go for interview try to have them hidden
