it comes down to how much you care for the person --- use a cam and watch their body language --- you can show emotions over the phone and PC --- my lady is a LONG way from me and we know how we feel for each other --- yes it can only work for a while then you must meet and decide if there is a future together --- i am doing that --- i will meet her soon and take it from there

I dont think anyone WANTS to have a long distance relationship. Life happens and gets in the way, you just have to work around it. If someone wants to be with their long distance BF or GF enough/or they love them enough, they will move to where the other person is and quit the long distance thing. Those people who have relationships over the internet or out of state "just because" are probably wasting their time. Long distance relationships wont last if there isnt commitment.

Truthfully - it doesn't work. I'm going thru this with one of the guys I'm dating. He's 2400 miles away and only home every other weekend, but with other committments when he's home (family, work, etc), we don't even get to spend a full day together.

It's so easy to misread IMs or emails. The phone calls are only good for so much.

I too am someone that needs the personal touch!

If you know the person initialy from school or somewhere else then it might work for a while, but if it started on the phone it is hard to keep it...unless there is some miracle happening between the two of you. Good luck!

It doesn't work. Nuff said. One person is getting it somewhere else and the other is getting screwed. Plain and simple.
