If she likes bath stuff, get a variety of stuff from Bath & Body Works. Get her a gift certificate for a manicure and pedicure, I can get both of them done for about $80, tip included. Maybe a gift certificate to her salon for a hair cut. A massage (an hour should be $80 or less). A visit from a maid service. A night in a nice hotel for her and dad (getting that under $100 would depend on what city you're in, but try hotels.com). A gift certificate to a nice restaurant, or take her yourself for a dinner for the two of you, she would enjoy that.

I am 45, I know that last Christmas my daughter took 12 of my favorite photos and had them made into a calendar. i love it. But it was around 100.00 so you might consider this. Buy a scrap book and a few colored pages and the glue and a few items. make a couple pages and be sure to label them. Of course the first page should be " me and my mom". Wrap it up and its a great gift, she can fill in the pages and you can help.

Buy her 11 roses and glue a small mirror inside a card.
On the front of a blank card write:
" Only 11 roses. To make this an even dozen look inside.
On the inside of the card write:
"Santa Claus is a myth.
The Easter bunny is a myth.
Leprechauns are a myth.
Little green men are a myth.
(etc) (Include whatever myths you think of)
I mythed a lot but I didn't myth your birthday.

At Macy's they have a neat perfume package with a purse gift when you buy. Escada Sunset Heat. $54 dollars. Smells too die for. Then do flowers-in vase $25 & a small cake for her 10.99 at Safeway or QFC- they're fresh and really good and pretty too. She'll love it. Even if she has a big b-day cake etc.) she'll love to hide away her special cake that's just for her. They're like for 1-2 people. Be sure to get her a halmark card. You'll get alot for $100 bucks.
Good luck!

you could get her some kind of spa like stuff... like a foot-bath type thing...
or a back massager that you can put in a car or recliner...
or you can send her to a spa for a day...

with my mom... i wanted to be humorous, and give her a laugh...
so i bought her a package of Depends for the old people... that cant control their bladders...

She was like, WTF? So I was like, your too old mom... And then I laughed and gave her the real present..
I had bought her about 30$ worth of lotions and bath stuff...
and then I got her a few small thing for her room, and for her car...

idk, about being that humorous though, your mom could be different, and take it in a different way...

Another good idea that i just thought about is this...
you know how at the mall and stuff, they have those laser engraved crystals, that sit on the little light stands? and it shines a light into it, and shows the picture...

there are some people that do 3-d portraits... and you can take a picture of you, or the family, and get it engraved into a crystal, and buy the stand for it... it makes a good decoration, and display item...

Me! All kidding aside get her something personal and it does not have to be expensive and give it to her over dinner at her favorite restaurant with a card. It sounds hokey but will mean the world to her that you thought that much of her. Do it and watch her face light up. It is not how much money you spend the secret is how much you think of her that is valuabel.

a nice dinner..romantic evening and something he's been wanting..maybe a new watch, engraved with a special little phrase, I cooked my husband his favorite meal, and then we took a bath together, it was nice, and we talked about the year and everything that had happened since his last birthday, I gave him a digital camera, it was something he'd been wanting for awhile. It was a really memorable day, I think he enjoyed it.

You have to make her a memory book on MemoryPress!

It is easy. Write your favorite memory of mom (e.g. when Mom taught me to play soccer). Then add a bunch of your favorite photos from growing up. If you want you can invite others to add their favorite memories as well.

Then when your done, MemoryPress will ship you a beautiful full color hardbound memory book to give to your mom.

If you don't have time you can print it at home. MemoryPress doesn't force you to print with them.

I love getting gift cards so I can pick out what I want. I'm around that age, and frankly there is so little that I do want, its more fun to get to choose it myself. $50 at a bookstore is heaven.

HI Haley, I'm about the same age as your Mom, and my favorite gift is either going to my favorite restaurant, and/or giftcards (they can be to wherever she likes, and for any amount).
