ok so i wear eyeliner and mascera. I dont let anyone else borrow them, but i have been wearing color contacts and one day they were kinda itchy so i took them out and i havent worn them for like 5 days but the inside corners of my eyes are a tiny bit buffy and red and they burn and in the morning i have like discharge so do i have pink eye?? is there anything i can do at home to get rid of it??

I had pink eye bout 3 weeks ago. I had it for 2 weeks. I got it from my 4 month old son who had his for 1 weeek. Put a tea bag on it to help with the inflamation and burning. Wash ur hands everytime after u touch ur eyes. Use disinfecting wipes and spray to help kill the bacteria. Dont use the same thing to wipe ur eye. They have some over the counter pink eye medicine at ur local drug store or walmart. That will help until u can get to a doctor. I had contacts in my eyes when i caught pink eye from my son. Don't throw them away until u go to an eye doctor. My eye doc told me that it was fine to put them back in my eyes. Pink eye is very painful. Other than the pain the drainiage is the worst thing. The more ur eye drains the better, that means that ur closer to getting over it. Pink eye is nothing but a bacteria. U can get it jus walking outside. Its in the air, its everywhere. If u have discharge and u wake up with ur eye crusty and u can hardly open it then yes u have pink eye. Wear dark sunglasses everytime u walk outside. The sun will get to u. Mine were so bad i had to wear my sunglasses inside my house. Even the dimmest lites hurt my eyes. It mite swell up. My sons did and jus my left eye did but mine was swollen for only 2 days. I hope that u dont have it. If u do try these things that ive told u and go c a doc ASAP. It may seem weird or even crazy but it works. I was told to use either my son's pee or use my breastmilk and they both will heal it. I was scared to use my son's pee but i did try my breastmilk at the last minute and the next day the eye that i put it in was clear so i tried it in my other eye and in 2 days i was at my eye doc and he told me that i was clear but i still need to wear my shades so the sun wont damage my eyes. Wash your hands. Then wash your face. Never touch your eyes or put your hands in your mouth if they are not clean. Rinse your eye out with cold water until pain goes away. My final advice is throw out those contacts and purchase a decent pair of glasses. Tell the person at the glasses store that you need a decent pair of glasses to wear. That's it. Smiles

See your doctor. It might be pink eye, some infection related to your contacts or something all together different. Visit your Dr., your two eyes are the only ones you get.

You should go see your doctor asap and have them take a look at it... there are medicines that can cure pink eye. If you do not go to the doc it will only get worse and might even require surgery...

could be. best to have it checked. nothing you can do at home for it. even if it isn't pink eye, it could be a reaction to your contacts or the solution you use.

go to your Dr..likely you will need a prescription to get rid of it..
toss those contacts away..they are contaminated now.
