If Jesus said that the first and most important commandment to follow is, "Love the Lord with all your heart , soul, and mind," what would be the worst commandment to break?

Any sin is too much sin it is the reason God provided the atonement.

Yes. Perfect Christians (which do not exist) would not work on the Sabbath and only pray and dedicate the day to Jesus. Fortunately for them Christians also believe that Jesus died to save us from our sins so you can work on Sunday if you want to and break the other commandments too. Everyone is a sinner. BUT if you did want to show extra love for Jesus it can be done by trying not to sin. love between a man and woman could be a good analogy...to love someone perfectly and without fault is impossible but we can always try and be better. When we do mess up, our loved ones will forgive us but that doesn't mean we should continue to do things that would hurt them. True love would be more giving and graceful than that.

You have missed the sequel to this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself'. This sums up ALL the commandments ever given.

"What is the worst commandment to break?" It is like asking, "Is it better to get a speeding ticket or to get a ticket for running through the red light?" One is as bad as the other.

The Bible says that if you have broken one, you have broken all. How many sins must one commit to be called a sinner? JUST ONE. There is no bigger sin or smaller sin. SIN IS SIN.

Proverbs Chapter 6
16 There are six things the LORD hates,
seven that are detestable to him:

17 haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,

18 a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,

19 a false witness who pours out lies
and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers

This is the closest that I can get to your answer. Let me know if it helps.

I think making other things idols is the worst. That's showing God that you worship others besides him. Remeber the 40 yrs Moses people spent looking for the Promise Land because of that.

To think of it in a theological way, "I shalt not kill" because, if God created us in His image, then if we kill each other, we'd be sort of breaking a mirror that God had made (if you believe that the soul could be a sort of....divine spark from Gods being...who knows?) so if you destroy the house (of the soul) then you'd have (in a sense) tarnish God in a way...(if this is making any sense...) So Thou shalt not kill is like saying, don't kill the image of God maybe?

The worse thing that human beings can do against the spiritual law is to commit crimes against humanity as well as hatred against oneself and others.

to wonder if he is deserving of such love, if a man truly does love him this way....he does nothing but sit in my life. Drives me nuts. I have to yell at him to move in my life.

To not give all of yourself to Him.
The second worse would be to not serve others as Christ did.
