No, it's not wrong. Better than not working at all. Wait till you get your check. Than you won't complain.

As several people who've answered before me have indicated, if you're exempt, then there's nothing you can do about working too many hours in a day or days in a week, or days straight (except to change jobs). If you're non-exempt, then, in most cases, it's probably the case that your due some sort of overtime pay.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but during tax season - which for many of the smaller CPA firms that you may have come across starts in late January and runs through April 15th - many of the people there work 6 or 7 days a week every single week, and in March find themselves working 12 or 15 hours a day for those 6-7 days a week. It's pretty a pretty tough grind.

Good luck with the hours!

No, its not wrong unless you are a janitor or waiter or something that doesnt get paid a lot but if you are a scientist, that is completely normal. it just all depends.

Are you Exempt (salaried) or Non-Exempt (hourly)?

Non-Exempt : illegal unless under certain circumstances
Exempt: you are screwed
