Because deep down inside you know you're not saved.
Anybody with confidence of their "saved" status is obviously over-compensating by making a statement of vanity, not to mention hubris.
Hell will be overflowing with cocky Christians shocked and dismayed at God's poor judgment.

I know that you have said that you are already saved, but maybe you fear hell because you are not secure in your relationship with Christ. Rest assured that if you have given your heart to Christ, you are saved and bound for heaven.
Another reason you are afraid/fascinated with hell is maybe because of all of the myths surrounding it. Wow, if I believed half the things that most Christians say about hell, I would be scared, too! Do you want to know the truth about what the Bible teaches about hell? Then check out the website I've listed in the sources. It will show you what the Bible really has to say about hell!
God bless! I'll be praying for you.

I had a dream about Hell.
It was like this:
I became aware of being lowered into Hell. I looked down and saw that there was a deep dark cavern of natural rock. The place seemed dusty. I wasn't sure but I think that the place was lit by a column or columns of fire. Below I could see a river.
I then became concerned how I was being lowered into Hell. I percieved and angel holding me by the shoulders. As I looked down again I became afraid. Because the river was getting closer and I saw that it didn't have water flowing in it, rather it was all sorts of mammals, all going in the same direction like water. They were deep in their numbers, they apparently could not overflow the banks of the river. I saw that they were rabid and had all sorts of diseases, like mange.
The angel said," Do not be afraid, for the pain of Hell is not for you to feel."
And then he lowered me into the river of rabid animals until my head was covered. He was right, I did not feel any pain. The faces of a few animals I remember, they were all blank in their eyes and ran through the river without any thought.
I was pulled out of the river by the angel who didn't seem to let go of me the whole time. And then my dream was over.
I do not know much about Heaven. But I know that Hell is no where I would want to stay in. I am glad that my Lord has shown me this, and I do not know why I was baptised in a river in Hell, but I am very glad that I will not be there to feel pain. I can be sure of that by the promises of God through Jesus Christ.

As human being we are fascinated by the unknown, and this is normal. The only hell one must fear is the one we all create for ourselves right here on earth which provides an etiquette heaven and an even more etiquette hell.

If your a Christian then you shouldn't fear Hell because your not going there. It might fascinate you because it's not something you see every day. But you shouldn't really be fascinated by it ether. It's a horrid place.

There are 162 references to HELL in the New Testament alone, over 70 of those spoken by Jesus Himself.
" He that believes (the gospel) and is baptized SHALL BE SAVED; he that believes not SHALL BE DAMNED ". - Jesus
"So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire; there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth". - Jesus (Matt. 13:49)
Jesus called it a literal place of REAL torment.

Scriptures about hell: http://www.rapturealert.com/ishellarealplace.html
" For the wages of sin is death, but the Gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ Our Lord". - (Romans 6:23)

What about it fascinates you? I'd not dwell on it. It was prepared for the non-saved.

Anybody with respect for God will realize that when God says He will put us in Hell if we dont meet His conditions;that He is not playing or joking.
