I see that so many of you come to this board and love to make fun of Christians and they're religion. My question for you is....why are you here?
An Athiest is someone who has no religion. So if you have NO religion...why come to the religion and spirituality board?
I mean thats like a Christian coming to a board that says "Satan and Demons".

I'm not here to fight, but I really don't believe in God or the Bible. However, many are here to learn about other religions and ask genuine questions. A few here are simply jerks, but there are a few of those from every religion. Having no religion is still having a set of beliefs, and so we still do like to see what others talk about. Some Atheists have genuine interest in other ideas and beliefs, most are quite open-minded (though not all, obviously).
See, a Christian wouldn't go to a "Satan and Demons" chat because they see it as evil, not because they don't believe in it. Atheists don't see God as evil because they don't believe in Him (or Satan and demons) in the first place. So it is a very different thing, a *completely* different thing.
Not to mention, a lot of R&S people seem to continue asking "Question for Atheists..."

The "Why are atheists here" question comes up so much, that you could practicallly make a drinking game out of it.
Oh, wait a minute. We did! ... *DRINK*
And no, an atheist is NOT necessarily one who has no religion. "Atheist" means one who does not believe in deity. There are lots of people who believe in God yet do not adhere to a particular religion, and believe it or not even vice-versa.
And the irony is yes, it's like Christians coming to a board that says "Satan and Demons". They WOULD go to such a board. Think about it. And now think about why.

Why would christians not go to a board called "Satan and Demons"? It would be useful for them to learn something. But why do some christians come here to confront other christians? It's called argument. If someone can't take the heat, they should stay out of the kitchen.

To educate those of you who are ignorant about atheism. ANYONE of ANY belief can discuss the TOPICS of Religion and Spirituality. If Christians didn't proselytize and preach at those who aren't interested, and spread lies about other religions, we wouldn't need to be here.
Do you expect to find only dogs posting in the Dogs section?
It would make sense for Christians to post in a Satan section, as they are the ONLY people who believe in their devil. Non-Christians don't believe in Satan.

I find it entertaining... You're forgetting the spirituality part. Athiest only means no belief in a supreme being or god in an anthropomorphic body. Consider us missionaries of truth. You know very well that every Christian here would be all over a category that advertised satan and demons.

Atheists aren't quite demons, and I am a Christian who frequents places that I know are likely to be inhabited by people of the opposite persuasions as myself because I think that it adds depth and understanding... I'm sure there are plenty of atheist here for the same reasons that I hang out with atheists or read their books...

Satan and demons are Christian concepts - we don't believe in them. Just because we don't believe in God, doesn't mean who don't want to discuss religion.

An athiest does NOT necessarily mean someone with no religion. There are may people who are religous atheists.

Really, how many times is this question going to be asked?
Here I'll make you a deal. If you can keep religion out of our schools, courts and not use it to hinder certain rights and stop shoving it in our lives and force us to live with its rules, I promise I won't come to this section anymore.
