History is and has always been interpreted by the attitudes, beliefs and locality of the person writing down the (facts).
Most of history was written by clergy or the rich.
When governments were concerned, the victor always puts the best spin on things in their favor.
We are very fortunate in the fact that 75% of the worlds population is literate and therefore able to write down the events of their own and other lives.
If you want to make sure your history is written down correctly, I suggest you do it yourself.
Hope this helps!

Writing was a wonderful invention because it allows you to leave notes for your great grandchildren to read. To bad so many people abuse the privilege of the printed word.
Subjectively the world began when I was born and will end when I die, in the meantime it all revolves around me.
Objectively I am just one person among many in a long line of life in a very old universe that will barely even notice my passing.
Your life and death only carry they meaning that you put into them.
Is that an answer or an echo?
Get a good pen with good archival ink, write the history of your times on good archival quality paper for your great great grandchildren that you will never meet.

well if you are talking about religion since it's in this section. Religion is based almost fully on beliefs, which is pasted down though family alot of time not history.
I guess we really can only make true of what history tells us. Who knows, i really wouldn't be suprized if the world ended in less the 100 years.

Many people who were around 150 years ago are still here; they just don't go around advertising the fact. Ever hear of angels?

Here's what I think about it--there are two sides of history, but only the winner of the war gets to *write* the history. So you only see one side...and you're right, who's to say what happened long ago? All we have is science to prove it.
