In Psalm 2:7, the Lord said to David: "...Thou art my son: this day have I begotten thee."
(Matthew 5:45, 48). Luke 3:38 says: "...Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the Son of God."
Who is mentioned in Hebrews 7:3 as like unto the Son of God? It is Melchisedec, King of Salem, as mentioned in Hebrews 7:1.
Moreover, Adam did not have a mother or father, but was the first human being created by God and in the likeness of God to exist in the Garden of Eden and on earth. Wouldn’t this give more rights to Adam to be called the Son of God in its truest meaning?

Many can be sons of God but there is only one begotten Son of God.
Did you read Melchisedec had no begining nor end?

Jesus is the only PHYSICALLY begotten by Father God!
david was spiritually begotten but he had a human father!
adam was A son of God, but being created is not the same as being begotten! the reference to melchisedec is an old testament manifestation of Jesus appearing for the lords purposes! and no human can have more right to that title than the Lord himself coming to earth in human form!

The Bible clearly states that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God. He is our Heavenly Father because He created us all. Even those that blaspheme.

All of us. Sons, daughters. And the whole world. Begotten is a metaphor for created. Don't get bogged down in translated terminology.

Every soul that now is in the world is a 'son of God 'no matter what faith one may be in. People must wake up to the fact that Christianity is not the only path to God.

The first scripture was referring to the messiah as was cleared up in Acts 13:33 "God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee."
Seth inherited his position as the son of God based on the fact that he was in the lineage of Adam the first man. this had more to do with his image than anything else. being made in Gods image was referring to having a God consciousness such as being able to love, hate, jealous etc. Also men were called sons of God because of the emphasis which was placed on the patriarchal line in those days.
Genesis 6 verse1-6 >1When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, 2the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. 3Then the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not abide in man forever for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years." 4The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown.
Melchizedec met Abraham when returning from the rescue of Lot. His names, to King of Righteousness, to doubtless suitable to his character, marked him as a type of the Messiah and his kingdom. The name of his city signified to Peace; and as king of peace he typified Christ, the Prince of Peace, the great Reconciler of God and man. Nothing is recorded as to the beginning or end of his life; thus he typically resembled the Son of God, whose existence is from everlasting to everlasting, who had no one that was before him, and will have no one come after him, in his priesthood. Every part of Scripture honours the great King of Righteousness and Peace, our glorious High Priest and Saviour; and the more we examine it, the more we shall be convinced, that the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. (Heb 7:4-10)
Furthermore the Bible states in John 1:12 that "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:"
So you see we become the Sons of God through Joint heir with Jesus but Jesus is the only true begotten son of God because he contained all the elements of God as an earthly child would his biological father's genes. We, Christians, are merely sons through adoption.
God bless
