put out an ad for it online, or in the paper.

Start putting up For Sale signs anywhere you can. Put one in the rear window or on one of the side windows in the rear. You can also put a car ad in the newspaper.

Once you find a buyer, then you can meet him at the county clerks office or the DMV. Which ever agency does the auto registration and the transfers. Once there, get your money, and then sign the title over to him. That way he can register the car at that time. You will not be responsible for any accidents that he may get into before he would transfer the ownership. Make sure that the check is certified or a cashier's check. Don't just accept a personal check unless you feel that it is good. You wil also have to get the lien released from the car. The new owner may be able to assume the balance and pay it off theirselves.

Another way to get the lien released is to borrow the money you need to pay it off from your parents. Then pay the loan off and have the loan company send the release to the government agency that has filed the lien. It may take a couple of weeks to get it removed from the title. The loan company may send you a release but it is no good to get the title cleared. It has to be sent from the loan company to the agency and then they have to file it. Once this is done, you can go to the county clerks office, or the DMV and have the lien released and notarized. That way all you have to do is sign the title over and it is done. good luck.

Many things. Put an add out describing the year, make and model, the condition and miles. Or you can get a sign that you can put on your window indicating your car is for sale.
