Every now and then (and I'm talking very, very rarely) a multi-millionaire or billionaire will walk into a casino with 5 million dollars or so and ask for a no limit table with $100,000 minimum. I don't know for sure, but I would not be surprised if one of those people hit a hot streak and took the casino for $5 or $10 million dollars and made the casino break even or lose a little for the day. But in the long run, they're not going to lose.
As far as you and your friends go, it's not uncommon for someone to win $200-300 in a single trip to the table, even betting $5 a hand. It does not mean they necessarily are cheating, they just hit a hot streak and walked away before you could get it back. Like all casino games, blackjack can get streaky. The casinos actual depend on these streaks, because if they didn't happen, they'd go broke unless they changed the rules of the games. That particular day the streak was just on the player's side instead of the house. If you have the bankroll, ask them to come over and play every day. You'll take all their money before too long.

The house always has an edge in blackjack but the edge is the smallest among the other casino games; so experienced players with the help of card counting (if it's possible) can beat the odds a little bit. However, a couple of rude errors can eliminate hours of your good play! If you play with the optimal strategy for your game you can have a house edge of just 0.2% in some blackjack games. Card counting works best if you play single deck game. If you play on multi-player tables that's even better because sometimes you can "read" your friends.
Always read the rules and find the best strategy for the blackjack game variation you are going to play. I've seen strategy cards for about 10 versions of online blackjack games including Atlantic City blackjack (see the link in source). Land-based casinos offer similar rules.

Oh, the casino will lose money to *individuals* every night. Someone is going to be smart enough to get out while they're ahead of the game. But most people won't. The very idea of "quitting while I'm ahead" is as anathema to the human mind as "it's time to cut my losses and go".
The rules of blackjack, like every other floor game, tilt the odds in the house's favor. It could be as little as a 1 hand in 100, or 1 hand in 1000 - I forget the exact figure - but in the long run the house will win more often than it will lose.
Edit: As to your friends, I don't know them, so I'll say that it's always *possible* they cheated. If you are going to start as the house, be sure you have a huge bankroll to begin with, and that you follow the rules to the letter. That said, casinos works on the scale of hundreds or thousands of hands per hour, and they make money due to the scale. Playing as the house for a few hands with a group of friends is a sure-fire way to lose your bankroll.

No the casino doesn't lose. blackjack table always win. sometime people do win on blackjack table. Then again there is some dumb people who will not leave till they lose everything they got. Most people who win on blackjack table, will end of losing all to the casino beause they get too greedy. They win and they want more so they keep playing, at the end most of they will leave with nothing, and also lose the money that they came with.

They may have one bad night, but in the long run, they will always win.
If a casino goes bankrupt, it's almost always the result of poor management.
