Inflicting injuries to your body is not advisable by God according to the bible. Love your body flesh to show your love to God.

The bible was referring to idol worship when it talks about tattoos. You are not inflicting injury on yourself in the sense that it is self harm or mutilation. Scripture is clear on the issue of self harm. Self harm is a form of escape from a problem when god should be your only escape. So to all of the people saying tattoos are wrong, read the co.text behind the scripture and i honestly challenge you to learn before you share false wisdom which is a sin. So getting a tattoo as a profession of faith is a permanent sign to god that you are his forever no matter what obstacle or difficulty will come your way. If you are not committing idol worship through your tattoo, you are in the clear. Jesus loves me and all my tattoos.

i am a christian female. I have a tattoo. But i have a question for you( not being rude at all) But if this tattoo has everything to do with your faith then why would you care what anyone else thought about it? Because I know I don't care what anyone thinks about stuff like that because it's between God and I and that is all that really matters.

I don't think a tattoo of a cross is a good idea. I think most guys (the ones without tattoos) will see it as immature and defamation of your body. Besides, I'm not convinced that the mark of the beast isn't a tattoo. Are you?

I have known many women that sorely regret that they had a tattoo placed on their bodies. It can also affect your ability to get a job of authority in the future.

Ask yourself what will that tattoo look like when you are older? If you can imagine that. Many can't. I saw an old lady once who had a tattoo on her forearm. For some reason it changed my whole image of her.

would a true Christian woman do something that God disapproved of in the Old Testament?
Then if you are willing to rebel, even this small, then the fear of sin doesn't have a hold in your spirit.
As a Christian, to be holy and do right in God's eyes should be primary.

Well I would think that you have no respect for God, Considering your body is the temple of God and you want to write something on it. Even if it is about God. It's still against what he said, and besides tattoo needles can give you Hepitis.

Personally, I can not stand tattoos on anyone. But that's only me.

Location and subject matter would be the key items.
I don't think what you are wanting would be out of line if it was on like your shoulder blade but down low below your waist would tend toward the errotic.
