A little more fattening than the water packed variety, but still not bad. The amount of oil is not that great to make a huge difference. The oil packed variety does taste better. I would have to say you need to compare the labels for total calories between water or oil packed.

yes. the oil adds a lot of extra fat that you don't need if you're trying to be healthy and either lose or maintain your weight. substitute it for water packed tuna or tuna in those sealed bags instead.
