8 minutes isn't bad.
If you run every day, you will get better. That whole practice/perfect thing. You'll improve if you keep running, and I don't see why you couldn't get your time down to 7 minutes.

8 minutes is pretty good. I personally run a 7 minute 30 second mile. Mile brother runs and he runs a 5 minute 20 second mile. Which is pretty good but there is better. Yea def if you ran everyday you would get better, but I dont know if you could cut a minute. Your body slowly but surely adapts to what you do. You have to keep running too.

HELL YES u would get better!! and yes you would get in shape. i did that and lost abt 10 lbs. but i only did it for a couple of days lasting to a month. usually when i was in track and i was down to the last 50 meters i would run faster and 25 meters i would start to sprint like hell. if its for something athletic like track or p.e. juss go all out. sometimes when i think i cant make it, i get very concieted and that usually pushs me to go faster.

It is not how fast you go.
It is how long you walk and keep it up. Walk ever other day.
Even fast walking , is good, slow walking is good.
just keep at it, time is what shows results, If you start off to fast. And try to do to much at first , There is no way to improve. Start slow and work your way up.

Yes, practice will usually improve running times, and can help build endurance.

A month...sure you could. Anything is possible, it is just a matter of how hard you push yourself.

I'm trying to lose weight too and it's sooo hard. My aunt is using a weight loss product and it's really working for her. I'm gonna try it and I recommend you try it too. Check their website at
http://www.myldirect.info , my aunt got a free trial and paid only 6.99$ shipping and handling.
