Listening to music always cheers me up, some of my fav tunes. That seems to dull that annoying empty feeling you get when you're sad. Oh and anything funny... also sending messages to my friends or talking to them, helps me feel a little less lonely.

I have to meditate, or calm down in some way. I will usually reflect on the facts and decide whether those facts are really worth worrying about and usually they are not worth worrying about. And then I decide on a course of action of what to do next. It works and then before you know it, I'm listening to music and meeting with friends.
