How much is too much? I m 27 and recently I meet someone I guess he is 43 to 45, not sure the exact age but should be over 40. It got me to think, is it too much? My ex was 11 years older than me, but it seems that twenty something and forty something...sound big difference, so I m just curious to know what other people think about age difference. Thanks.

I think age is just a number. It's all how u feel inside, if you love and care about them, then nothing matters. Some people might look at you funny but if you love them, then it won't bother you. Believe me I know my bf is way older than me and I get looks all the time. People stare, I'll just smile and wave at them, they'll quit.(usually). When people look they only see physical side of it, they don't know how u feel inside, or how good he treats you. They just don't understand it and are usually shallow minded towards it. I've dated older and younger men. The better relationships I've had were with older men.

as long as both of the people in the relationship are ok with it and mature enough to deal with it, then go for it. family might cause problems and your long-term family might be a little different than usual families (he'll be atleast 60 when your kids are teens if you decide to have them). if you make eachother happy though, then its worth it.

its how you really feel about that person. But you need to ask yourself this- do you want children? and when you children hit the age of 18 how old will you be and how old will their dad be?.
Age is no real barrier- providing you are comfertable. alot of people do struggle with family aceptance though.

i am biased my lady is much younger than i am --- the actual age difference is not the problem its how well you get on together and if you notice the gap --- if you dont then its not a concern --- just enjoy each other's company --- have fun
