I thought it was money, or the lack of? Somehow I doubt that everyone will realize that ever that religion is the cause. religion can also be the source of much good though, take Mother Theresa for example. You can't honestly fault her religious beliefs, and she did good works.

But isn't it really how one DECIDES to use it??
You can still be spiritual within a religion (any kind), yet accept other's religious or spiritual viewpoints w/not only tolerance, openmindness, but also with LOVE.
Religion is not the root of evil. It's folks (some) misinterpretations.
You have to have a strong set of values within your belief system as in loving others 1st and foremost, no matter what your 'religion' is. There is no religion that 'knows' everything. Just something that offers one a nice guideline, life structure, principles, development of faith, and getting outside oneself [hopefully in most cases] for helping others in healing, loving and caring.
hope this helps ;-)

As an regular antichristian I find this hard to say but religion is not the cause of evil. It seems more like organized people are. Anytime you get a group of people together they seem to get up to no good. Not always but allot of the time. Human nature is the cause of evil. Religion just facilitates it.

religion doesn't cause evil. and whether you're religious or not, you cannot deny this. evil is relative. i might think mauling people down with my car is completely good. and who are you to say it's evil? what is evil? evil is a perception.

also, religion isn't the cause of your perception of evil. humanity is the cause of "evil". some of us want to do bad things, and we use religion as justification. if not religion, we'd use our honor or some other crap. lol.

it's a noble notion (doing away with religion), but it doesn't check out. our psyches have far more to do with that "evil".

The good that people adhere to in this world is from Allah's(God's) messengers and prophets. They taught the people of this world what is good. The notion that it is wrong to take an innocent life is from Allah(God) who told his prophets to teach the people this. It is the evil people and their allies among the jinn that wish for you not to believe in Allah(God) and his final religion. The question will be asked but why do Muslims murder. Some Muslims disobey, they make a mistake and commit a major sin. Some people enter Islaam to attack it from the inside. To outwardly proclaim their love for Islaam but secretly plot to discredited through many acts including violence.

There are many answers to questions here.

I think I understand what you are getting at here...I just posted a question on this forum asking "why do religions teach people not to think for themselves?" (Read the details, and you'll better understand what I'm getting at.) I think that religions tend to divide humanity, not unite it...which is exactly what "Satan" wants...he enjoys conflict...turning man against man. How many people have, throughout history, killed, oppressed, humiliated and subjugated others in the name of their religion? I think it's blasphemous! I'm a spiritual person, but I refuse to follow a religion. I will not let others tell me what I should or should not believe. The subject of my soul, and that of others, is too important to me. I will not blindly follow what sounds like hypocrisy to me. That would mean stepping off of the path to true enlightenment! I believe that God would want humanity to be united, to love one another unconditionally. Anything else would be a dishonor to Him and to ourselves. I believe in listening to your heart, for the answers lie within.

"When will people realize that religion is the cause of evil? "

If people do not realize it, then most likely they will when they are taught and convinced that it is.

That is the reason why I chose to praise the God I know in different way. I realized that religions create divisions. Mudslinging towards different faiths, deaths of thousands of people in the name of their God. God became a tyrant, and I don't praise God in the image of a warmonger.

I don't know. Maybe when evil people realize they are the cause of religion?

Thought provoking.
