I have an interview tomorrow with Chase as a personal banker. I was referred by a friend and I did well on the assessment test. My problem...

The resume that I gave to my friend to give to recruiter has a mistake on it. I also filled an application with that resume. I need to correct dates from my past employment. Should i correct it? Or just leave it alone?

Also I want to eliminate one of my current jobs (its not relevant and its only weekends sometimes. And i want to add a job that is more significant that i worked 4 years ago. What Do I do?
Ill leave the Job change alone if anything but what about the dates??

I am a college graduate with no relevant work experience and I think they might be more concerned about me selling myself as a banker.

Thank you

From my point of view, no job shouldbe eliminated from the resume because everything you have done up to now is considered as beng part of your work experience. It doesn't matter the job is not relevant to the position you are currently applying for. It must be stated. Otherwise, you would have to deal with a gap in employment, right? And this doesn't place you in advantage either.

Tell them about the mistake during the interview. Tell them first thing. When they get you in the room and you have been introduced to everyone tell them that there is a mistake on the dates and when you were going over your resume last night you found it. No black marks for that one.

As for the job exp. you can take a different version of your resume with you which has a more complete work history on it but I would not take the weekend work off since its already on there especially if you think that company will give you a good review. Also make sure the dates are correct on the this resume.

I worked as pb for over a year and recently i had a pb interview and i passed it.

You need to update the date to the correct dates, and give the updated resume to the recruiter explaining that it was the mistake on the dates.

as far as weekend job YOU NEED TO DISCLOSE IT.
there might be some conflict of interest and if you do not disclose it you might get in trouble.

as far as the interview, you need to keep emphasis on your sales and/or customer service experience. when you are being asked questions, remember its all about sales and service.

do not forget to bring two copies of the resume.

good luck!

it's an honest mistake.... Just bring with you the correct resume. The recruiter will meet with you and will probably bring you with the person who will interview you tomorrow. Be honest, and tell her/him you noticed the error. Bring an extra copy with you for the person tomorrow...

I have interviewed people, it's not a big deal we are humans. (and it's your first professional job!)
