This is a rice and chicken dish that I came up with when I bought a rice steamer with the tray for steaming veggies, too.
1 package teriyaki rice (or 2 cups of rice, seasoned with teriyaki sauce to taste)
1 package frozen snow peas
1/4 c. diced sweet onion
1/2 red pepper, seeded and diced
1/2 cup carrots, steamed and thinly sliced
2 tbsp. margarine
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked and diced
1 tsp. minced garlic
1/2 c. slivered almonds
Boil, saute, or bake the chicken until no longer pink in the middle. Cool and dice, then set aside.
Prepare rice according to package directions, OR prepare 2 C. white rice and add teriyaki sauce to taste. Keep warm while preparing the rest of the ingredients.
Thinly slice the carrots, and steam in a small amount of water until crisp-tender. Drain well, and add to the chicken.
Saute the onion and pepper in the margarine until tender. Add to the chicken mixture.
Steam the snow peas until crisp-tender, and drain well. Add to the chicken.
Add the garlic to the chicken mixture, and stir well. Serve over the teriyaki rice and garnish with the slivered almonds.
To prepare in a rice steamer: prepare the rice according to the directions. Steam the carrots and snow peas individually as the rice cooks.
Saute the chicken breasts, and set aside. Stir fry the onions and peppers until tender, and add to the chicken. Add the garlic. When the snow peas and carrots are tender, add to the chicken mixture.
Serve over rice, and garnish with slivered almonds.

I make a spicy rice but I only make it once a year at our family potluck. It's very fattening it can be considered a meal in itself.
In a large pot cut up 1 whole package of bacon and a tube of spicy ground breakfast sausage and allow to cook until bacon is crisp-DO NOT DRAIN
Add 2 cans of stewed tomatoes, 1 can of pigeon peas (gandules) and 2 cups of water.
Season with accent, crushed red pepper flakes, and lawrys seasoned salt to taste. Allow this mixture to simmer for 10 minutes.
Add parboiled rice (about 3 cups of rice) and allow to cook until tender. VOILA-Trust me this rice is to die for!! It's kind of a southern rice with a caribbean fling. Sorry I don't have an exact recipe. I watched my family making this rice for years and i learned to make it by eye.

I make a good rice with brown rice, olive oil and mashed garlic, about 20 cloves of garlic, to one cup brown rice, to 1/8 cup olive oil. That is all, but spicy.....coconut milk with rice, peas and habaneros or scotch bonnets is really good. Jamaican rice and chicken jerk recipe's are really good for what you are asking about. Wild rice is good, but I don't prefer it with a lot of hot spices. I like it more earthy tasting. Fried rice is good with a little kick from a couple of halved jalapeños simmered in the soy sauce before it is added.....Kung Pau shrimp, chicken, beef might be a good recipe to use with rice, or fried rice. Good luck trying out all that good food..

You could go in the direction of spicy sushi, but more simply, a jambalaya is your answer. It's spicy rice and meats and seafood, all in one.
