I'm 60 and stupid and don't quite understand your question.

I'm not morally deficient; I do the right thing only because it's the right thing to do.
I don't secretly or otherwise believe in ANY kind of Invisible Sky Critter.
I don't need security blankets - I'm quite capable of standing on my own feet and taking responsibility for ALL my actions.
When Good or Bad things happen to me I don't Thank or Blame any kind of Invisible Sky Critter.

I wonder how many Xians would be Xians if Hell wasn't the punishment for NOT believing.
NOT very many is my guess.

"I quit exactly a year ago today"
If you're 15 and gave it up it's a lot different to if you were 50 and gave it up.
I'm guessing you're 15 cos at that age you think you're the centre of the universe and everyone should know you.

Congrats in any case - I've been there and done that and feel better for it.

Pascal's argument is essentially self-centered and does not account for the harm caused for those who wager on the god-believing side of the wager, when they try to force their beliefs down the throats of others. This in spite of such harmful effects such as allowing HIV to run rampant and teen pregnancy to ruin the lives of young women.

All very well to bet on personally ending up in heaven, but at what cost to others? I say, better to forget your little games with heaven and hell and concentrate on trying to make the world we are living in *now* a better place.

Pascal's wager... well seriously

why believe in God just because you think it'll get you out of suffering? That's opportunism and I'm sure most major religions don't support it.

Why would someone claim to be an atheist and secretly believe in God?
What's to be gained by that?

Fresca for me. Can I shake it first and squirt it at the Christians who refuse to acknowledge that a male only religion is harmful to a woman's self esteem?

SQUIIIIIIIIIIIIIRT!
Thanks I feel fetter seeing them all drippy.

Please stop.
You are horribly misguided.

Insulting atheists is NOT the way Jesus would want people to be brought to Christianity. Were you always saved?
What if others said the same thing to you before you were born again?
Please think before posting such callous inconsiderate things.
