me and my ex girl friend went out for a year and a month. but we havent spoken in over 9 months. i finally tried to break the tension a little bit and sent her an email saying we should get together and catch up a little bit. she hasnt mailed me back, its been two days and her myspace says shes logged in those past two days. is she just ignoring me, or maybe thinking hard about what to say?

she could be ignoring you. she could be thinking about what to say/what to do. she could be trying to move on.
i have read that it is best to not talk to past boyfriends. especially if one is in another relationship (i do not remember where i read it some women's magazine/website i believe).
why do you want to ease the tension? do you miss her friendship? do you want to rekindle the romance? why now after nine months? are you lonely? this might not be the best way to deal with loneliness. do you want to apologize for things that you did? if so send her an email or letter saying that you are sorry and then let it go you did your part.

Yes, she's avoiding you like the plague. I know you wanted to break the tension, but she's obviously reading more into it. Back off a little, let her make the next move, but be ready for her to move on out of your life forever if that's what she wants.

We have no idea what is going on through her mind. However, the way I see it, she's probably isn't interested in catching up with you. Just be patient and wait it out without expecting an email. If you get an email, great! If not, don't be too disappointed.

well it depends if u hurt her in the year and month u guys were dating or maybe she didnt want to break up with u unless she broke up with u and maybe she's thinking of what to say
