why isnt god wanting you to leave all your earthly possessions and go to pray in the middle of nowhere?
or just to seclude you far away from civilization with your fellow christians and love him a lot all together?
or stop eating three days a week?
or cancelling all your credit cards?
or eating only bread and drinking only water?
why is that he only asks of you to do exactly the same as everyone else does (included atheists) with the exception of a little prayer just before going to bed?

To your first question...Because He knows what is best for me. I can be very selfish at times and do things dumb like overspending on credit cards... and I've never left all my earthly possessions to pray in the middle of no where and I don't think it would be wise to go and minister while I have small children....The Bible says "that man does not live by bread alone but by the Word of God" Hence the fasting that Jesus did.
And your last.. I pray all day long its an open communication with God not just a Sunday thing.

Geez Ive heard of someone having no idea what Christianity is about but this poster takes the cake. True Chrisitianity is anything but convenient.
Christians are called to spread the gospel. Any groups that go in seclusion to live and pray amongst themselves are not obeying the Gospel commision of Christ and therefore are not followers of Christ

i don't have just a little prayer before bed time... i involve God in all my daily decisions no matter how simple or complex.
