My Sis in law has been having a brown discharge from boyh her breasts for over 6 months now. She also has lumps on both sides. Her Ultrasound and Mammogram both are indicative towards Cancer. She was told she has Stage 2 Cancer.
However when she went for a Biopsy, the specialist physically examined her and said it looks like a case of infected glands. The Biopsy reports are yet to come.
Is there a chance then that both her Ultrasound and Mammograms reports are wrong by God's Grace.

Just wait for your Biopsy report. Or you can have a PET Scan.

"Positron Emission Tomography (PET) is a powerful imaging technique that holds great promise in the diagnosis and treatment of many diseases, particularly cancer. A non-invasive test, PET scans accurately image the cellular function of the human body. In a single PET scan your physician can examine your entire body. PET scanning provides a more complete picture, making it easier for your doctor to diagnose problems, determine the extent of disease, prescribe treatment, and track progress.

What is PET/CT?

PET (Positron Emission Tomography) and CT (Computed Tomography) scans are both standard imaging tools that physicians use to pinpoint disease states in the body. A PET scan demonstrates the biological function of the body before anatomical changes take place, while the CT scan provides information about the body's anatomy such as size, shape and location. By combining these two scanning technologies, a PET/CT scan enables physicians to more accurately diagnose and identify cancer, heart disease and brain disorders."

It could be cancer, or not.....

Wait for the biopsy, and if necessary get a second opinion.

I had what I thought was a cyst. My sister and my female boss (who have had breast cancer) thought I had a cyst. My GP thought I had a cyst. My mamagram looked like a cyst.

The ultrasound was inconclusive but looked cancerous.

The biopsy confirmed an uncommon form of cancer in my breast (not usual breast cancer).

12 months after surgery, a shadow on both my mammagram and ultrasound looked cancerous. Biopsy showed it to be scar tissue and fluid at the surgery site. (luckily)

Wait for the biopsy results, they are more accurate than the mammogram and Ultrasound.

No matter how the results come back it sounds as though there is some doubt. Please, Please get a second and if necessary third opinion. Insurance companies have no problem with additional consults.
It would be terrible if she underwent any needless procedures, worse still is if she actually has cancer and is talked out of it.
My wife was a twenty-five year survivor of breast cancer. Treatment today is much better than it was 25 years ago. I wish her good luck and the grace of GOD.pp

There is a type of breast cancer that seems to be hidden from all of us. It is called Inflamation Breast cancer. It can only be detected through MRI's or a cat scan. It seems that so many people dont know about this one.

I pray they are wrong and that it is something simple. And that it goes away quickly. Our prayers are with you.
