If the New Testament was the absolute word of God then why has it EVER been changed or altered ?

I have seen a bible from 100 yrs ago and there are many verses that have completely changed meanings.....

There are many versions and clearly the translations have different meanings.

Honesty, I could answer your question if it wouldn't take so very long to do it. So, I'm just quoting a "few" facts to answer your question. In short, it was all done to serve satan, in hopes of misleading people away from God's Word. But, believe me, I understand how you feel! I will say this, you will never go wrong with a AV1611, the King James Bible. It is "the" Word of God in the English language. You can bank your life on it! If you don't read what's on any other website I have listed here, at least click on and read the last one.

The Bible, the Scriptures of the Old Testament and the New Testament, preserved for us in the Masoretic text (Old Testament) Textus Receptus (New Testament) and in the King James Bible, is verbally and plenarily inspired of God. OK, so you remove the "thee", " thy", etc. out of the Bible. Then why don't they do it to the hymn books as well if what you are saying is so necessary? I'll agree with you that the modern books that are call the Bible are written the way they are to attract more customers. But if that is all there is to the issue, then would you please explain why in books like the TNIV, NIV, NASV, NRSV (just to name a few) remove so much more than just old English words from them?

Also, why do we need another new Bible translation in English?" Why—after the ASV, RSV, NASB, NEB, REB, TEV, GNB, NRSV, NASBU, NCV, NET, NIV, NKJV, NWT, ICV, RV, AB, JB, NAB, NJB, MLB, NIRV, CEV, plus translations by Montgomery, Young, Weymouth, Goodspeed, Moffatt, Williams, Stern, Barclay, Rotherham, Taylor, Ledyard, Norlie, Kerdrick, Smith, Harwood, Mace, Boothroyd, Fenton, Moulton, Ballentine, Clarke, Courtney, Darby, Noyes, Ainslie, Sharpe, Wilson, Spurrell, Bartlett, Weekes, Lloyd, Worrell, Spencer, Craddock, Green, Beck, Schonfield, Knox, Lamsa, Tomanek, Phillips, Wuest, and a hundred more—do we need another new Bible translation in English?

Some people will admit there are some "honest mistakes" in the newer Bibles. Well, if that's the case, consider this: When all the publishing companies has to do is type in the correct wording on a computer and won't, I sure don't call that a honest mistake. As Dr. Frank Logsdon stated himself, "Are we so naive that we do not suspect Satanic deception in all of this?"

The Bible is inerrant in its original languages (Hebrew and Greek). The differences arrive from the manuscripts which was used to translate particular Bibles. There are differences between the Geneva Bible, the KJV, the NAS and the NIV. But the differences are small and the doctrine, history and ethics have not been altered or changed. Obviously, the Geneva Bible will read differently than the NIV due to the language it was translated into and the common language used at the time of the translation. Many of the newer versions (Living Bible) flesh out the verses and passages. Perhaps if you could have sighted the verses you think have had there meaning changed, it would have helped me answer your question more directly.

Bibles have been translated from the King James version for hundreds of years. The KJ Bible was translated directly from Hebrew and Greek in the 1600s.

Yes, there might be differences in words where the updating of language to modern times it is easier to understand, but the Word of God is unchanged, even though someone might use the words "grocery store" instead of "market."

Where things get funky is when some guy or gal comes along and says, "An angel appeared to me and told me that the Bible was mistranslated and the angel told me how to translate it correctly." Of course, why an 'angel' would be doing this instead of God is beyond me and is most suspect.

This is exactly what happened with Joseph Smith, Charles Taze Russell, Mary Baker Eddy, Mohommad, just to name a few. These are the founders of Mormonism, Jehovah's Witness, Christian Scientist and Islam respectively. My question is, if this angel is so concerned about the "mistranslation" of the Bible that he took it upon himself to visit lots of different people to tell them how to retranslate the bible, WHY are all THOSE translations so different from each other??

In fact, if you took the KJ version of the Bible and laid it right next to the original scrolls -- which do exist -- you won't see a comma out of place. The Mormons, JWs and the others can't say that. In fact, they had to come up with OTHER books to explain why THEIR book should be the authority, all the while knowing but choosing not to understand that the reason for the second book is because their first book doesn't pass muster.

Some of the verses were actually taken out many believe especially the Protestant Religion, and I am sure there are some here on R&S, however I have their begining book here which was wrote some time ago my self, and I read how the Roman Empire/ Catholics, killed the profits as well as killed others. The Bible was hid for many years from the public eyes. the Bibe was also hidden from the followers of Christ, prohibiting them from reading the text, as well as, the public eyes, and if they were caught they would be killed. What I believe after my own accessment, is as time goes by, with any book after the copying of a book from year to year, and decade to decade, addittionaly the Bible gets revised from time to time, as well as translation from language to language, and version to version, you can't possibly think that things don't happen, rather they are accidental or not, but the major parts as well as the components are in tact and continue to stay. So if your in anyway trying to imply that GOD is not for you, or that he is not real, or if you trying to imply that the word has not been protected your wrong, because the Bible is the most read and translated book or earth, and interpreted. The good news is here of Jesus Life, and Death and how he has taken the Keys of Hell, and Death, and He's coming back, He's coming back! on a cloud of Power, and Great Glory !

Was this a King James Version? The KJV is accepted by the general Christian community as being the inspired Word of God. I have also read a KJV bible that was printed in the late 1800's; as well as a Catholic bible written in the late 1800's. Even though the print was hard to read, I don't recall any alterations in either book I read, so could you give specific examples?
As you may already know, Catholics have a different bible, that is essentially the same book except their's has a few more books. There have been other bibles have been written as well, with their writer's claiming that their version is REAL inspired Word of God and not the JKV.
Hmmm, I guess that's why it's important to have personal relationship with God so you can ask Him directly ,rather than depend on what other's say.

In all the translations over the centuries the truth that God imparted to the world is still the same,the truth cannot be hidden,changed or substituted. This is the magnificent power of the truth,I have read many varied translations in my time from the Jerome Latin Vulgate right through the various others to the KJV and it is surprising that or not surprising that I still see the truth within them. We can get so bogged down with purism that for some people leaving out a comma or full stop drives them barmy. Heaven and Earth will pass away but the Word will not and the truth will always be just what it is.

well there is the idea that it was appropriate for those times and not for now which makes sense but I don't personally believe it anymore than man's creation to begin with .
Especially when you examine the evolution of the idea of hell from the early hebrew to the present english ; this is inconceivably inconsistent with good sense .

this is the exact reason why i do not read the bible....i just automatically belive in a higher power and purpose and i dont need some book to make me feel good.....i would prefer not to force my opinion on others as well.
