A US stamp will work, but sending something overseas will be a more expensive rate. If it comes back what you need to do is bring it the post office and let the clerk help you. They will tell you exactly how much postage you need, but yes US postage does work worldwide.

That depends on the 'denomination' (money value) of the stamp you put onto it. It costs more to mail something outside the U.S., and you should have 'asked' at any post office and they'd have told you how much money the 'stamps' would cost. IF you sent it with only a 41 cent stamp, it is probably going 'surface mail' (not in an airplane) and will still have some 'postage due' ... if the recipient doesn't accept it, you should get it back, but you would also have to pay the postage due ... and that would be 'twice as much' as the proper stamp to Taiwan, minus the 41 cents you've already paid. Yes, it's not only LEGAL to mail from the U.S. using ONLY U.S. stamps ... but they do 'cost more' if you are mailing them to a place outside of the U.S. Look at any mail you have 'received' from out of country ... all of the 'stamps' on it will be from that country ... that's because there is some kind of an 'agreement' among the various countries of the world to deliver anything from another country ... because people may NEED that mail.

To mail any letter or package to another country all you need is the correct postage. Take the letter in and have it weighed and apply the correct postage. It will be delivered to any country that way. You cannot buy foreign stamps at a U.S. Post Office. Countries have a understanding with each other as to delivery of any mail with the correct postage. I mail packages every week to Holland and have been for years and this is what I was told buy a Postal Official. Understand though that a .41 cent stamp will not reach outside the U.S., you will pay more postage sending out of the country.

Whenever you mail an article of mail, from anywhere in the world, you ALWAYS use the postage from the country you are sending from.

Also, one single stamp will definitly not get your letter to Taiwan. If its the Liberty Bell, or the latest First Class Flag with Tan background, are worth only .41 postage. You need .90 to mail to Taiwan.

More than likely, the item will be sent back to you.

It will be returned to you because the amount of postage to go out of the U.S. is more than just one stamp. Mail delivery is different from country to country, so you should always go to the post office and pay in person at the counter to make sure it gets there correctly.

it will probably get returned to you - unless you put no return address on it; then it could go to the dead letter office. Mail generally does not get sent overseas without enough postage.

I have seen good-hearted postal workers pay for the difference themselves, but that's nothing you can count on.

After 6 days, its often too early to expect it on the other end, anyway.

It desires ninety cents to deliver a classic letter to any u . s . different than Canada or Mexico that are sixty 9 cents for one ounce. it particularly is going to in all probability come again to you for extra stamps in a pair of week. it ought to take a sprint longer, yet as long as you had your return handle on it, it may come again to you. a commonplace classification letter to Taiwan will in all probability take approximately 10 days to get there.

Just one?!

First of all, it doesn't matter as to the type of stamp. If it's a US stamp and is for the price of mailing it, then you'll be fine.

They'll just return it to you.

In the future, PLEASE go to the PO Box for proper stamps?
