I potty trained my daughter when she was nearly two and I thought she was very young (maybe too young) to train. However, she proved me wrong because using the Potty Stool http://www.thepottystool.com she was trained in less than 2 weeks. I was skeptical the stool would make a difference but I never would have guessed how well it works!
I realized later that my daughter really wanted to imitate what she saw adults doing and was very determined to mimic correct toilet use.
This really is the greatest thing to happen to potty training. I like that I don't have to use or clean a floor potty and I love that my kids are safe and never have to touch the toilet with their hands! My kids just get right up to the toilet on their own.
The best part is that kids use it for years. Hope this helps you.

don't push it. If you try to force her she will just be harder to potty train. If she likes her potty, let her watch you and get excited when you use the potty and she will be excited when the time is right. Children do not actually have the capability to control their bladders until they are about 18 months on average so there's no rush really. Best of luck when the time is right :)

12 months is a little young...girls usually train a little earlier than boys...
Does she say she needs to pee or alert you soon after going in her diaper...does she understand poop?
Get a potty training doll and ask her to help you train the doll...and get the book "how to potty train your child in just one day" it has great advice and a check list to see if she is actually ready to be potty trained.

I would only start potty training if you thing he is ready. 1 is still kind of young. If you do it too early they could get frustrated.

Potty training is easy once your toddler has "sign". Before you give potty training to your toddler you have to be trained at some level. Check my site www.toddlerspottytraining.com to find solutions, idea and tools.
I potty trained my son in 3 days, not a tough job, very simple once you get the idea.

mmmmm, you might want to wait a bit. Girls learn faster than boys, and she will probably do it soon. I know it is weird, but let her watch you, she will catch on.
