Is it not great how the Lord loves us past our short comings and sees us for the potential that He is working on in us. Even at our present state or where we were before we accepted Christ into our heart, God is awesome.
Just a reminder to spend time in God's word with great wisdom at our finger tips, the gospels . I love the red text (print) myself. How about you? Are you spending to much time in this forum and not enough time in God's word?

Praise the Lord for our salvation and share the good news with all that will listen and hear His voice.

Peace, Love and Laughter. with a strong dose of compassion.

funny you should write this down. i noticed in my free time I seem to go on line whether it was here or just my computer period. i started asking myself was i idolizing my computer. few weeks ago i kept my nose in His word now it seems i spend more time answering or asking questions. im glad i came across this question/statement cause it made me realize what Ive been doing. its sad and some don't realize but when you do something more or when you think of something more then that's what your idolizing. even something as simple as yahoo answers.

Well maybe I am spending too much time at yahoo, but I dont let it interfere with my Bible reading. I have read the Bible thru cover to cover 10 times and now am on my 11th and 12th times in 2 concurrent Bible studies. I read it every morning before I pray. I have not missed a single day since I retired in 2001. I love reding God's word. Every time I read it thru I get more understanding. My paltry 10 times is nothing to brag about since I am 55 years old. I know of a man who read it thru 67 times in 9 years. He had accepted Christ late in life and died in his 70th reading. Now he is in heaven and knows it by heart. I hope that I can sow a seed and that someone will come to Christ as a result of the time I spend here. Honestly it is not for my glory. I get 10 or more thumbs down here for every one up here at YA. Yes my brother, God is so awesome to have saved a wretch like me. My shortcomings are many, and if it werent for his mercy and grace I'd still be a lost soul. Thank you Jesus!!!!

Lamentations 3:22-23 It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

God bless you my brother......Cap'n Arlo

Heard this once that you might like it.

Before your head hits the pillow make sure your`nose hits the Book and your knees hit the floor. Good little rule to live by. And yes it is wonderfully that God loved me before I could even love myself.
Yours in Christ,

Look I love Jesus as much as the next person, but would he have given the men who created this (computer age) if he did NOT want us to enjoy?

you raise a good point. we should study God's word rather than doing other things. God is an awesome God and he deserves the praise
