how can a christian psychiatrist be 100% sure his/her own mind is not making up the whole idea of god?

To answer your second question, I ask you this. How can any person of any profession be 100% sure that they are not making up whatever belief system they happen to hold?
All of us of every stripe have a world view, Christian or not. It is critically important that we think it through, to logically prove it to the best of our ability, and that we earnestly seek to grow and develop in our understanding. This is true for Christian Psychiatrists and any other religion and profession. I believe that some Christian Psychiatrists could defend their beliefs quite logically and well, while others could not - just like any other group.
I would say that it takes more blind faith to believe that God is our own creation than to believe in a Supreme Being...but that would be a different discussion all together.

No, Psychiatrists are highly trained and very highly educated..(SMART)..not going to find one that is a christian

I know two.
One gave Christian tracts out in his office (and said it was my own fault for having OCD because of my religion).
I don't see him anymore.
The other didn't talk to me about religion, but she did mention going to church every Sunday.....
I don't get it either...

I have found many atheist shrinks
ran into one christian one, marraige counseling
guess what his answer was? did you seek the lord? what does the bible say about your behavior and future corrective behavior? wwjd?
