It is far more than just our tax dollars - as an independent contractor, I pay over $800 a month for health insurance. What do you think that does to my rates when you need my services? And what percentage of the noncollectable bills run up at these hospitals do you figure is directly passed on to you when you need medical care?
And to think there are politicians - OUR representatives - who keep trying to convince us that we need the illegals in this country. Perhaps they need them to shore up their base - I do not.

There ought to be plenty for the illegal immigrant's hospital bills.
The problem isn't those of whom you speak, it's the government soaking the idle, quiet population while it reaches deeper into our pockets.
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago,
and our nation was the most prosperous in the world.
We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

I agree. I like illegal immigrants, but we need to stop paying for everyone's healthcare. It's a flawed system that is being abused by many different groups of people, including the medical industry itself. It's time to change it!

Short of a successful armed revolt against our goverrnment, which in today's world next to impossible, there is nothing you, or I, or any group can do. The people elected to office could really care less about you, the law, the constitution and the well being of our society, they do whatever they choose to make sure they are elected again, and whatever the party bosses tell them to do.

Probably until they close all the hospitals in the border states. They have already closed a ton of hospitals in California and New Mexico. They can't continue to stay open when Mexicans are flooding in for free care and to have all those anchor babies. I hate it! Tell me a Presidential candidate that will put up the whole fence and start kicking out the drug dealers, gang members, prisoners, and illegals that are on welfare and any other government program. not fair, I have to pay thousands of dollars and they walk out paying nothing, and the jerk hospitals won't even give us paying good people a discount. The government isn't even doing anything about immigration, they don't seem to care that these people have broken our laws, get them out.
