Of course it was. You may "clean out" your system in the morning, but roughage is good for your. You could eat ice cream all day and be okay. Maybe not healthy, but okay. Grains are high on the food pyramid. You're supposed to be eating more vegetables and grains(Cheerios).

Yes, it's alright. Many doctors say now that we need a kick of protein in the mornings before anything else to get our bodies started. Even a hunk of cheese would give you protein. How good the cereal is depends on what kind it is. If it's full of sugar and things that are listed on the box that you can't pronounce, then no it isn't very good for you. Eat lots of veggies, brown rice is better than white and try to have leaner meat. Chicken or fish are very good. Sounds like you're trying hard to take care of yourself. Keep up the good work.

I hope you threw some sliced peaches or fresh strawberries in with those cheerios because that is a bleak non-healthy two meals without anything to pep up those cheerios.
