I heard you and I could be your grandfather. Grand parents are glad to see their grandchildren and do not intend to "drive them crazy". Motivation is hard when you are surrounded by distractions which may badly effect you. The only thing you can do is set goals for what needs to be done and tune the distractions out.

Some help in this may be found in links accessed by typing in "Self motivation techniques" into Yahoo! web search. Some of these recommend books, others have copyable summaries of suggested techniques.

Good luck, good health, peace and love!

Jade, all you can do is to do what you can.

About your Dad's job, are you old enough to get a job yourself even if it is babysitting or delivering newspapaers.

If for whatever reason you can't then you can help make the family nice to be around.

About your Grandparents; yep they are going to drive you crazy.

In fact everything is going to drive you crazy. Exercise, eat right. And try to do something positive with all the stress.

As a parent I know what it feels like to feel overwhelmed in front of your kids. Luckly mine are still little. So I really feel for your Mom and Dad.

Try to be honest with your Mom. tell her it hurts your feeling with all the complaining and stresses you out even more.

I have to go set the table now. Good Luck. And just realize that everything can't fall on your shoulders. Just do what you can. And realize that as my Mom always says... this too shall pass.

I wish I had better advice but sometimes all someone can do is listen.
