Faith shouldn't be a befief with no backing. Most things people have faith in are grounded in facts that they can & do see. Faith steps in when there is a little doubt, when something cannot be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt.

I have faith that if I call a friend & leave them a voice mail, they will call me back. Based on prior experience, that is probably true, but it may not be.

I have faith that when I click "preview", I will be able to see this response, then post it. The server may cause an error that causes that to not be so, but previous experiences show me most time that links on the internet usually work.

I have faith there is a God who loves me & cares about me. I have faith because I see a universe around me that I don't have faith could exsist otherwise. I also have faith because I have felt God's presence in my life.

Faith! Untold millions have no faith. Faith alone does not provide the means to know who God is. Understanding who God is, comes only, from Revelation. Know this, the devil knows first hand who God is, and what he can do, and he also believes in God, yet he is completely hell bound. Revelation by God, to who God is, done by God only. Not by education or riches or any such thing.

Through faith comes revelaltion and a personal realtionship with God.

Edit Faith is a gift from God it comes to those who seek his truth.

Edit 2 Faith is belief It is also a gift and those who seek the truth receive a gift of faith and revelation and a personal relationship with God. First a gift of faith and then revelation which affirms your faith then a realtionship with God. We continue to grow in faith through our realtionship with God.
