I now have 4 sets of twins because we just finilized the adoption of my fouth set of twins, they are the only ones not biological, and in one set of twins my son kenneth says he is sick of being a twin, is this normal in twins?, I know I ask alot of questions for a mother of so many, but since there father has been gone so much lately its been hard, and my youngest son myles (1yr.) will not eat anyting unless his 17 year old brother is he is eating the same thing but alot of the things that he eats my son can't eat yet, should I make Kenneth eat only things my son can eat?

thank you for the advise, When there father came home this morning I left the other children with him and took kenneth and myles with me and went out and did everything kenneth wanted to(it was suppose to be just me and kenneth but myles wouldn't stay at home, he cryed for a half an houer so I went home to get him,) but my sons and I had loads of fun. but at about ten thirty I asked Kenneth what he wanted to do and he said "I want to go see Kevin and show him all my new stuff"(we went shopping) but the whole time we were in the store Kenneth made sure I got three of everything one for him, one for myles and one for kevin. thank you again. your advice worked, i think kenneth just needed some time with out kevin. but he's happy again. but as for myles we are still stuck

I am a twin and I love everyday of it - he's a he and I am a she! Never hate being a twin, or a brother, or a sister! Twins connect in their own way.

Wow. You definately have your hands full!

If the twin is sick of being a twin - maybe find some things he can do that isn't like his twin - or like the other twins. Maybe he wants to dress differently, or do a different kind of thing - have different toys, or maybe he is searching for attention.
I couldn't tell you really. I just know that some twins get sick of being one because they are compared/dressed/associated with the other one so much. Twins get more attention than non-twin children.
Maybe if there is a time and space in your day (!!) you could take just that one out - and let him choose what he wants to do for like 2 hours or so.

Now - with your 1 yr old wanting to do everything the 17 yr old does - that isn't going to work - either way. It will get the 17 yr old to eat healthier - however - will agrivate him after a while - causing him to not want to be around or get upset about what he has to do for the 1 yr old. Hopefully it is a phase - that will end soon - huh!?! :)

Good luck! You need a vacation!

As a twin, I do know that twins like to have individuality. Maybe that's what he needs. ie different clothes, activities, friends. As for me, I don't think I was ever sick of being a twin. We had our fights, but we loved each other, and are best friends. As said above, twins connect in their own way. He may just want some space, especially with your house so full.

That is a hard one.. Have you thought of possibly taking your son to see a counselor? No offense.. But... There are some issues there that might need to be addressed by a professional.

Think about it if you had a twin that looked exactly like you wouldn't you feel like your not an individual?
