Need very strong,durable,and also temperature resistance to any radical changes that may occur and effect any structural strength of the wings.(Hot or cold ). Also it shall b constructed for glider use at high alt. May install system for any emg.bail out or eng. failures that may occur. FYI:
Ultralight aircraft are under 500 lb.s max gross weight.
(Thats you, engine, fuel, plus the airframe.) - No allowance for "emg. bail out". If you've got an engine failure you glide it down.
This means precise design is critical to get enough strength and power into the same package even to take off. - NOT an amateur activity.
They are restricted to low altitude.
No high altitude gliding except by special clearances.
