Rem-Choke is Remington patented brand of changeable choke tubes for their shotguns.

They screw in and out of the barrel with the assistance of a choke-tube wrench, or by hand if you have the extended ones with knurled exteriors.

This allows you to change the denisty of your shotgun's pattern based on what you are shooting. For instance Improved Cylinder for upland hunting, Skeet for skeet, and Modified or Full for trap.

there are several chokes that screw into the end of the barrel on the Remington shotguns to obtain different sot patterns and when using different loads steel vs. lead the rem chock is just a Remington brand of chock hope this helps

a REM CHOKEis the brand of choke tubes that the firearm company remington manufactures. and what do you mean by what kind of choke would it be? heres a list of the styles of chokes:cylender(40 inch spread of shot at 25 yards),improved cylinder(40 inch spread of shot at 30 yards),modified<40 inch spread at 35 yards)full(40 inch spread at 40-50 yards) then finally there is the extra full choke capable of reaching out with a 40 inch pattern at 60-70 yards.

it has screw in chokes, the "rem choke" is just the name remington gave to their own brand of chokes. You can change the choke to change the size of the shot pattern. Some chokes are not to be used with steel shot, so be careful

This means your barrel has a end on it that adjust the shot gun blast of the pellets to either be wider or smaller.Another worlds it makes the hole in what ever you shot bigger or smaller depending how you adjust it.
