It cant be done-it could be the effect of a double latte or gas. What if a great born again leader said "become a muslim " or take another wife.

You can't stop that, any more than you can stop a perceived belief in anyone or anything or any ideal (even atheism) leading someone up the garden path. At the end of the day, the Bible says that there is a very powerful devil out there, as well as the "pull of worldy things" and "the pull of the flesh" (the temptations affecting every person on this planet- whether Christian or not), add to that drugs, heavy drinking, etc, etc, and it is a wonder that anyone on this earth has non-impared judgement! At least if someone reads and understands the Bible and talks to Jesus, they've got some hope of getting it right compared with those with no beliefs, guidlines or anchors in their life. Live long and prosper- the shepherd :-)

One is never destitute if they have the Lord.
In God's word, He clearly tells us that He controls the rulers of this world. He raises them up and brings them down.
Jesus cannot impair judgment. Impair means to make his judgment worse. Whatever the Lord declares to man is the best for the man and his purpose. When the Lord guides a leader of a nation and He guides them all, then all will be done so God's purpose will be fulfilled as God wants things done. God is in control and always will be.

It isn't a relationship with Jesus that impairs judgment. It is going by ones feelings. Sometimes a person can be all caught up in the moment and let their emotions decide for them what is real. We can easily be led astray by our feelings. Sound judgment happens when you weigh out all the options and make a choice based on what seems best. Sometimes a gut instinct is involved in the process though it doesn't have to be. But if in doubt a person should pray to God for wisdom.
I believe God does give us wisdom to avoid making mistakes. A person can believe they are following God when in fact the voice they are hearing is coming from themselves. Sometimes, what God is trying to tell us is what we don't want to hear. That is when most errors get made.

If one truely can distinguish the words of Jesus then their judgement will be clearer than ever. Perhaps President Bush was not actually led by God, but pressured by his constiuents. If God leads you to give your money away then he will bless you and care for you if you trust in Him. In short- Jesus doesn't make wrong decisions. If you truely do ask he asks then you cannot do wrong in his eyes.

Search this site and you'll probably get a clue.
...but if you're feeling lazy about learning something new, just look for the youngest kid you can find at the moment and ask them... kids have a knack for honesty and for offering some generally sound advice.

Why do Christians keep following this feeling
scenario.Feelings can be false.Never go on
feelings.Stand on the promises of God,not
on emotions or feelings.God's word is perfect,
and his promises will never fail. How do I know
the bible tells me so.

if the lord would say take up your cross and follow me, take it. if the lord says give all you have to the poor and follow me, trust him he will not leave you destitute, he will provide for you everything that you need. all you have to do is trust completely in him, he would never ask you to do anything that would put you in harms way. if your not sure that its god that wants you to do something then just pray on it and god will show you if its him or self.
