Sigh... Based on a number of the answers here, I'm practically dead! I'm 56 and I don't feel 'old'. My aunt is 96..now THAT is old! and she'll even admit it! My daughter will turn 24 soon and she says she's getting old until I ask her if she wants to trade. Guess not. Time does go by faster as you get older; it is very weird. I remember as a child how long the day would last - so long that a nap was needed just to make it through the second part of the day. And now the day just zooms by. I am waiting to see if it all evens out at some point or will I feel like I don't dare to blink 'cuz the day will disappear. I do agree with the saying that you are only as old as you feel.

Young kids think if you are older than 30 you are old lol! I will ber 50 next year and I don't feel old. They say the 40's are the new 30's and so on. I think age is only a number anyway. I guess you are considered "old" when you get close to 80.

When you feel old.
Its funny. I am 29 and have children that go to primary school and some of my teachers are still there teaching them now!
At the time I thought those teachers were really old, but now when I look they appear to be the same age as a lot of my friends.
I think as you get older - age doesn't seem to matter.
I dont feel old! Hopefully I wont feel it for a long time!

Being considered old can vary over a wide range of ages depending upon the age or the mood of the person doing the considering.
Most active pensioners retired on the grounds of age would consider themselves senior citizens rather than OAPs.

It all depends on the age group you are asking this question of.
Age is a mind of matter, if you don't mind it, it doesn't matter.
At 43 years old I think I am as old as I feel. Which some days is 80.
Truly no one is old, you just get more experienced with life.

Age is in the mind. But, it all depends on who you are talking to.
I would expect a young child to think that is old. But, if you ask a 45 year old they think it's very young. It's all relative.
The age where most people would call you old. Probably 70.

define 'old' how can you assume some one is old when you don't know their life span,we use age/time as a marker for a particular part of memory/history so its easier to recall things,so age could be infinite.so no one can be young or old, only younger or older unless we are the same age!!! lol

Age is just a state of mind. Children naturally assume that their parents are so old.
Enjoy passing for 19, that will not last forever. :)
