I'm trying to get started with Mozilla Thunderbird and I haven't got a clue about how to set it up. It wants a server name? I have DSL, I'm using SBC (sbcglobal.net) as my internet server and as my email provider that uses yahoo mail. Can anyone help? IF you need more details just ask and I'll do my best to add details!

T-Bird wants a POP3 server and SMTP server. The problem is... Yahoo Mail is a webmail service, and does NOT provide POP3 server access unless you pay $$$ for the Premium version.

There are ways around it, such as YPop! and Freepop, and I believe there's a plug-in for T-Bird that actually pulls Yahoo! mail, but you'll have to search for it on your own.

Are you using Yahoo for your email? If so, why are you trying to set up Thunderbird?
