I have been having a hard time finding hooks for the various fish I've been fishing for. The thing that confuses me is the hook sizes, for example (2) or (2/0). I know what the size 2 means, but what does the slash and the 0 mean on some hook sizes? I've seen 1/0, 2/0, 3/0 etc. Thnx for your input!

The numbers for instance 22, is a very small hook. the larger the number the smaller the hook. A size 1 is the largest hook made before the sizes start going into the /0 (2/0 pronounced two ought) sizes then the larger the number, the larger the hook. 9/0 is bigger than 1/0.

go to a bait store k-mart, target, any sports store, they have the little book that tells you what hooks to use with fish you are trying to catch, you will to read it//
