I just bought a laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium. It won't play any of my videos (which are .ASF videos). It says that i am missing the Microsoft ADPCM Format (2) Codec. I have looked everywhere to download it or buy it or anything. I have also taken it to BestBuys Geek Squad and they didn't know what to do. Does anyone know how i can get ahold of this codec?

That should *not* be the problem. ADPCM is like WAV, it's "built-in" to Windows, even Vista. If it says you're missing the codec, you got codec corruption and may need to reinstall Windows Vista. Did you install any codec packs or such recently? Don't do it after you reinstall Windows. That's likely what messed it up.

Vista is horrible. Get a Mac.
