Some on here may disagree, but on the application it says "have you ever been arrested". You have to go into a police application with the understanding that there is a great possibility that this will come up. It may just say that the file is sealed or expunged, but for Police Application Purposes it will come up and you need to be ready to explain it. Everyone makes mistakes, some greater than others, especially when you are young, but not disclosing it will get you in more trouble, as it applies to your chances, than not disclosing it. IMO and by my experience. Good Luck.

Kind of. All they can see is that you have a sealed Juvenile record but they can not see the details of the case. It should not factor into you application process unless it literally comes down to a dead tie for the final spot of that academy.

You need to contact the local court, and ask them. It differs state by state, and sometimes even city by city on whether or not sealed records are exposed in a background check.

The CONTENTS of the record may or may not show on the background check. The EXISTENCE or the record will. You can expect to be asked about it.

I would be completely honest because the department is going to make you take some sort of lie detector test at some point anyway and they will ask if you were completely honest with all information. The departments do not expect you to be perfect, but they do expect you to be honest.
